We finally nailed it!
Thanks to the video of the exact moment of birth of our son, and after several audio tests to try and filter out all the noise joy can provoke in such a moment, we found the song of the special playlist we had prepared for a looong night that has welcome him to the world on this very special day (21/12/2012, winter solstice, end of the world, right?)...

Hecho en México

Hoy fuimos a ver la película "Hecho en México" y nos gusto mucho.
Además de excelentes canciones e interpretaciones, escuché una frase muy bonita, que me dio ganas de compartir aquí (y de regresar al blog):
"El ave no es del nido donde nació, es del cielo en el cual vuela".

Aujourd'hui nous sommes allés voir le film "Hecho en México" (fabriqué au Mexique) et il nous a plu.
J'y ai entendu de très belles chansons et interprétations, et surtout cette phrase qui m'a donné envie de revenir au blog et de la partager:
"l'oiseau n'est pas du nid où il est né mais du ciel dans lequel il vole".

Today we went to the cinema and watched "Hecho en México" (made in Mexico). We liked it.
I heard a lot of great songs but I also heard a beautiful sentence: "the bird is not from the nest it comes from but from the sky he flies into".

A Voté II

J'ai voté pour le 2e tour. Encore une fois, un jour avant. Avec l'impression que de toute facon le résultat de demain provoquera à peu près les mêmes conséquences pour la France (on choisit le moins mauvais ou le moins éloigné de soi, comme on dit). Il me semble que le futur ne dépend en effet plus de "qui" sera Président, mais est décidé ailleurs...

Les deux excellentes vidéos qui suivent sont le résultat du travail de journalistes qui font du bon boulot, utile, social et pas assez connu et elles me confortent dans cette idée. Je vous les partage. Voyez-les, c'est de l'info.

I have voted for the second round of the french presidential elections. Once again, one day early. With the impression that the future in France will not be decided by the president, whoever wins tomorrow... It is now decided elsewhere. 

I have found two excellent videos made by french journalists who have done a great, useful and social job. I share them here although I can't translate them now. Maybe you'll get the idea.

Hoy he votado para la segunda ronda de las elecciones presidenciales francesas. Un día antes, como hace dos semanas. Tenía la impresión que mi voto no servía de mucho porque sea lo que sea el resultado mañana, el futuro de Francia ya no se decide allá...

Los dos videos que les pongo en este post explican un poco mi impresión. No los puedo traducir al español pero ojala y puedan entender el mensaje.

Thought of the day

Je n'ai pas encore pris le temps de poser par écrit la 9e partie que je dois terminer. Mais c'est parce que je suis occupé, et que ce que je fais actuellement me plaît beaucoup. Aujourd'hui m'est arrivée une pensée d'Henri Gougaud, et j'ai trouvé qu'elle se posait parfaitement sur moi, pour me rassurer. Je la partage.

L’acte créatif est hors du temps. Que l’on ait vingt ans ou soixante, l’instant où l’on crée, où l’on trouve, a la même saveur de premier jour du monde. Nous n’avons pas d’âge quand nous créons.

No he podido tomar el tiempo necesario para escribir la 9a parte que tengo que terminar. Es porque estoy muy ocupado, y porque lo que estoy haciendo me gusta mucho. Hoy me llegó un pensamiento de Henri Gougaud y me suena como algo que aterriza delicadamente sobre mi, para darme confianza. La comparto entonces.

El acto creativo es fuera del tiempo. Que tengamos veinte años o sesenta, el instante de creación, cuando uno encuentre, tiene el mismo sabor que el primer día del mundo. No tenemos edad cuando creemos.

Dans quelques jours j'espère finir la série incomplète que j'ai commencée il y a presque 2 ans.

Comme je vous le disais, je crois que quelque chose pourrait changer en Science. J'essaierai de l'expliquer mieux au regard de ce long espace laissé entre ces 8 premiers posts et aujourd'hui.

Intouchables mais vivants

Je viens de lire une critique du film Intouchables, qui fut si populaire en France à la fin de l'an dernier, et qui va de sortir aux Etats-Unis. Là-bas, on le taxe de film raciste. Le blanc est handicapé et le noir vient le sauver. Une forme de résumé très simpliste que Jean-Marie Le Pen avait déjà utilisée cet hiver pour décrier le film.

Cependant, un trait de la description du film par un professeur américain d'origine malienne m'a marqué: "Le Blanc s'éloigne par sa rationalité ou par une manière de négliger l'intuition, l'émotion, et, de temps en temps, il a besoin du Noir pour lui rappeler qu'il est humain. C'est son contemporain primitif"(paru dans un article du Monde du 3 mars 2012 d'Eleonore Hamelin).

 Cette remarque m'a interpellé car elle reflète une opinion que je partage d'une certaine manière: nous, beaucoup de français, avons perdu un peu de ce sens de l'émotion, de l'humain au naturel, pour je ne sais quelle raison. On a parfois besoin de quelqu'un ou quelque chose pour nous y ramener. Le bon côté, optimiste, c'est que ce n'est pas totalement ni définitivement perdu... De là à le ramener à une caractéristique des "blancs", je ne crois pas. Ce n'est pas non plus une question "de se sauver". Se sauver de quoi d'ailleurs? Ce qui est sûr c'est que nous sommes trop de gens à ne pas se savoir vivants.

Acabo de leer una crítica de la película francesa Intocables, que fue tan popular en Francia en el fin del año pasado, y que va a salir en Estados Unidos. Allá, la discriminaron un poco hablando de película racista. El hombre blanco es descapacitado y el hombre negro viene a salvarle. Una forma de resumen muy simplista que Jean-Marie Le Pen ya había utilizado este invierno para desprestigiar la película.

Sin embargo, una parte de la descripción de la película por un profesor americano de origen malinés me marcó: "El Blanco se aleja por su racionalidad o por una manera de descuidar la intuición, la emoción, y, de vez en cuando, necesita al Negro para recordarle que es humano. Es su contemporáneo primitivo." (traducido de un artículo del periódico Le Monde del 3 de marzo de 2012 de Eleonore Hamelin).

Esa observación me interpeló porque refleja una opinión que comparto de alguna manera: muchos franceses, perdimos un poco o mucho este sentido de la emoción, de lado humano natural, por no sé qué razón. Necesitamos a veces a alguien o algo para recordarnoslo. La buena parte de eso, la optimista, es que no está totalmente ni definitivamente perdido... Tampoco se trata de definirlo como una característica de los "blancos", no creo. No es tampoco una cuestión de "salvarse". ¿Salvarse de qué? Lo que sí es cierto es que somos demasiados los que no sabemos que vivimos.

I have just read a critique about the french movie Untouchable, that has been so popular in France at the end of last year, and that is going to hit the movie theatres in The United States in the next weeks. There, they discriminated the movie a bit, talking about a racist movie. The white man is handicapped and the black man comes to save him, they say. It is a very simplistic form of summary that Jean-Marie Le Pen already had used this winter to discredit the movie.

Nevertheless, a part of the description of the movie by an American cinema professor of Malian origin noted: " The white guy get away because of his rationality or because of his way of neglecting the intuition, the emotion, and occasionally, he needs the black guy to remind him that he is human. It is his primitive contemporary fellow." (Translated from an article of the newspaper Le Monde of March 3, 2012 written by Eleonore Hamelin).

I notived this observation because it sort of reflects an opinion that I share somehow: we, many Frenchmen, have lost some of this sense of the emotion, of a natural human side, because of who knows what reason. We sometimes need someone or something to remind us that. The good part of it, the optimistic one, is that it is not totally nor definitively lost... Neither is it a question of defining it as a characteristic of "white people", I do not believe that. It is neither a question of "being saved". Saved from what? What is true, I believe, is that we are too many forgetting that we are alive.
